How to apply

From interest to enrolled student

No prior flying experience required. Here is the path from first thought to first flight lesson.

  1. 01

    Check requirements

Upper-secondary diploma with at least grade E in English 6, Physics 1, and Mathematics 2 (or equivalent). Minimum age 17 (18 to be issued a CPL). English at ICAO Level 4 minimum.

  2. 02

Get an EASA Class 1 medical

Book an appointment with an aero-medical examiner (AME) in good time. A valid medical certificate is required before the application closes.

  3. 03

    Aero-psychological aptitude assessment

A separate evaluation by an aviation psychologist — not the same as the Class 1 medical. A passing result is required. The applicant arranges the assessment with an approved provider before the application closes.

  4. 04

    Apply via yhantagningen.se

Applications for fall 2027 open in February 2027. Apply for the Integrated Airline Pilot Program at SPU on yhantagningen.se.

  5. 05

    Admission interview

We invite all eligible applicants to an interview on-site at SPU or via Microsoft Teams — to get to know you and your motivation.

  6. 06

    Acceptance + start

You receive your acceptance via yhantagningen.se. Program starts in August — welcome to SPU!
